Coverage note
Olympic schedules, qualification, athlete selection, tickets and venue arrangements can change. LA28, the IOC and the responsible national bodies remain authoritative.
What is confirmed
- Squash will make its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028.
- The programme contains men's singles and women's singles.
- LA28 names the Comcast Squash Center at Universal Studios as the venue.
- Games use point-a-rally scoring to 11, win by two, and matches are best of five games.
How the game works
Two players share an enclosed four-wall court. Each tries to make a valid return before the ball bounces twice. The confined space makes movement, anticipation and safe clearing as important as racket skill.
Teams, federations and athletes
A national squash federation, a National Olympic Committee, a performance programme and the athletes eventually entered for LA28 are different things. Squash Dog will not label a body as an Olympic team or selection authority without an official source.
Qualification and selection information should be checked through LA28, the IOC, World Squash and the relevant national organisations as it is published.
Turn watching into playing
You do not need Olympic speed or a double-yellow-dot ball to begin. Use a bouncier ball, book a beginner session and focus on a cooperative rally. Olympic interest matters most when it creates a practical route onto a local court.
