When must you wear squash goggles?

England Squash requires eye protection for under-19 players in competition, including adult age groups, and for all players in doubles competitions. It also strongly recommends eye protection during training and recreational play.

Check your venue and event rules, especially outside England. Safe play matters too: stop if your swing or the ball could strike another player.

Finding the right fit

Look for a secure, comfortable fit and clear vision when you move. Follow the manufacturer's fitting and care instructions; a coach or specialist retailer can help with sizing, particularly for juniors.

If you wear prescription glasses, choose squash-rated over-glasses protection or prescription sports eyewear with an optician's help. Ordinary glasses are not squash eye protection. Check compatibility before choosing these Tecnifibre goggles.
