Why these are Paul's goggles of choice

Paul Fagan, founder of Squash Dog, has worn Tecnifibre squash goggles for many years and describes them as his goggles of choice. That long-standing preference is the reason they are featured here.

This is a personal recommendation, not a scored comparison or a claim that one model fits everybody. Fit and comfort vary between players. This guide does not assign test scores or rank competing brands.

When must you wear squash goggles?

England Squash requires eye protection for under-19 players in competition, including when they enter adult age groups. It also requires it for players of every age in doubles competitions, and strongly recommends it during training and other non-competitive play.

Check the current rules with your venue, competition organiser and national governing body. International events may have their own requirements. World Squash's eyewear information and regulation page is linked in the sources below.

Eye protection does not replace safe play. Stop if your swing or the ball could strike another player.

Tecnifibre features and what is included

The Tecnifibre product graphic supplied for this guide describes the following features. These are manufacturer statements about the eyewear range, not measurements made by Squash Dog. Confirm the details and box contents for the exact model you order.

• Impact-resistant lenses and an ergonomic lens design.
• Anti-scratch treatment and anti-fog vented lenses. These descriptions do not mean scratch-proof or guaranteed fog-free.
• Gripping pads intended to improve comfort.
• The illustrated box contains one pair of eyewear, one strap and one soft pouch.

What does approved squash eyewear mean?

Tecnifibre describes each of the three linked colour listings as WSF approved. This is the manufacturer's claim; we have not independently matched each current product reference to certification documentation.

England Squash advises buyers to look for BS EN 18527-2:2021. The supplied Tecnifibre graphic references ASTM F803 and BS 7930.1 and displays a WSF certification mark. Those references do not by themselves establish compliance with BS EN 18527-2:2021 for the product you receive.

Check the exact model, packaging and current certification information with the manufacturer or a specialist retailer, particularly when buying for a competition. A general brand approval claim is not evidence for every product sold under that brand.

Fit, junior players and prescription glasses

Follow the fitting instructions and check that the eyewear sits securely, lets you see clearly and remains comfortable when you move. Ask a specialist retailer or your coach for help if the fit is uncertain. A junior player's fit needs checking individually; these colour options are not presented as a verified junior size range.

England Squash explains that ordinary prescription glasses are not designed for squash. Its guidance points to appropriate over-glasses squash protection or prescription protective eyewear made for squash. Ask an optician or specialist supplier about an appropriate option.

We have not verified that these Tecnifibre goggles fit over prescription glasses or accept prescription lenses. Do not assume they do from a product photograph or the word glasses.

Questions before you buy

Are squash goggles and squash glasses different?

Retailers use both names for protective squash eyewear. Check the exact product and certification rather than relying on the name.

Which Tecnifibre colour should I choose?

The official listings identify Black / Orange, Red / Blue and White / Green. They do not document a performance advantage for one colour. Choose by preference after checking the model and fit.

Are these the best anti-fog squash goggles?

Paul prefers these goggles, and Tecnifibre describes anti-fog vented lenses in its graphic. We have not run a comparative anti-fog test and do not rank them as best. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and care instructions.

What happens when I select Amazon UK?
