Squash rackets
Squash rackets: how to choose, and what we actually know.
A current-model racket guide for ordinary players: a short selector, a comparison, and every specification recorded from a named source or marked not stated.
In short
Start with the selector. It turns eight short answers into a racket profile, then scores current models on recorded weight, balance, head shape, format and price. No brand is favoured and there are no affiliate links.

Coverage note
This is a pilot dataset of 55 current models across 16 brands, not a complete catalogue. Model availability and specifications can change. Check the brand or retailer before you buy.
Start with the selector
Eight short questions about how you play produce a racket profile first, then three current models: a best match, a lower-cost alternative and a different-feel alternative.
Every result shows exactly why it scored as it did, criterion by criterion, so you can disagree with the reasoning rather than take it on trust.
What we hold, and what we do not
- 55 current models, each recorded from a brand source or a named specialist source.
- Anything a brand does not publish is shown as not stated. We do not estimate weights, balances or head shapes.
- No prices are shown unless the figure is published in sterling, so most models carry no price.
- Two of the sixteen brands checked had no confirmable current squash racket range, and are listed as such.
- Discontinued models are excluded from every recommendation.
Compare before you commit
Put up to three rackets side by side on the attributes we hold, and share the comparison as a link.
Borrowing or demoing a racket still beats any table. Clubs, coaches and specialist retailers often have demo frames.
Where Squash Dog's judgement starts and stops
Specifications are recorded from brand sources and marked as stated by the manufacturer. Strengths and trade-offs are Squash Dog's own reading of those recorded attributes, not manufacturer claims, and Squash Dog has not independently tested or verified manufacturer figures.
Squash Dog carries no affiliate links on this page and takes no commission on anything listed here. If that ever changes, the link will say so before you click it.
This is general guidance to help you shortlist, not medical or coaching advice. If you have arm, wrist, elbow or shoulder pain, speak to a qualified clinician, and speak to a coach about technique.
